As COVID-19 continues to be a threat, we wanted to discuss the importance of establishing a worry free space in your home - and what better room to do so than the bedroom! Your bedroom should serve as your oasis, your place to let go of all the day's anxieties, where you can tune-out and genuinely relax. We find that creating this place for yourself is crucial (especially during todays climate) so we're going to share some of our favorite ways to add calming intention and atmosphere to your bedroom!
B E D D I N G
Investing in comfortable, cozy bedding is always worth it! Our first step when refreshing a bedroom is making sure the bed is full of fluffy pillows and a cushy comforter, creating your own little cloud to jump into at the end of a stressful day!
T E X T U R E S
Adding in elements such as a sheepskin rug or a chunky throw, as we did here, can really pull your space together. Bringing in soft textures will in turn produce an overall soft feeling, just what we want from our bedroom!
S C E N T S
We believe that incorporating yummy candles and scents can take your space that much further. Integrating and awakening this aspect not only helps to create a complete sensory experience, but the simple act of lighting your bedside candle can instantly clear your mind and set your mood. It's also a wonderful trick in defining work time versus personal time. When everything is done from home it can be hard to "shut it off." Scents can help trigger an "it's time to relax" feeling.
Establishing a relaxing bedroom environment is something we strive to achieve with every project. Sleep is so important to our health and well being and putting together your perfect bedroom can be the first step to getting that good nights rest.
